Ia Sukhitashvili
Ia Sukhitashvili was born in 1980.
In 2001 she graduated from Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University Acting faculty (Giorgi Margvelashvili’s Group). Since then she has been Shota Rustaveli State Drama Theatre artist.
Her important roles performed at Shota Rustaveli State Drama Theatre are the following:
Ofelia (Shakespeare “Hamlet”, directed by R.Sturua), Angel (L.Bugadze “Soldier, Love, Bodyguard and… the President”, directed by R.Sturua),
Magda (I.Samsonadze “The Sweet, Sad Scent of Vanilla”, directed by R.Sturua),
Delly (T.Chiladze “The Birdies Dies in Glen”, directed R.Sturua),
Anna (M.Frisch “Biedermann and Fire Raisers” directed by R. Sturua),
Aghaza (Vazha-Pshavela’s “The Host and the Guest,” directed by Gosha Gorgoshidze),
Ia (“The Hunting Season” directed by Robert Sturua)
Prinzessin Natalie von Oranien (H. von Kleist “The Prince Homburg”, directed by G.Gorgoshidze).
Her other highlights include her role in “Styx”.
At Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre she had a role of Juliet in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, directed by G. Margvelashvili.

In 2000 she was awarded a prize for “The Best Student Work” for the role of Juliet (“Romeo and Juliet”)
In 2002 she was awarded by Theatrical Society as “The Best Young Actress” for the role of Juliet (“Romeo and Juliet”)
In 2009 she was awarded by Theatrical Society ”The Best Young Actress” for the role of Dely (“Birdie Died in Glen”)
In 2012 she was awarded A Grand Prize by Theatrical Society for the main role in the performance “The Hunting Season”, directed by R.Sturua.
